Everyone should be familiar with the signs and symptoms of life-threatening conditions. Students in this course learn to recognize these conditions and develop the skills to respond effectively. In addition to covering the basics of cardiovascular disease, shock, asphyxia, and external bleeding, this course addresses additional circumstances that may require EMS intervention.

Age Requirement:
No minimum age requirement.
Under 15 years of age must qualification must have a parent or guardian authorization, OR;
18 years of age or older without guardian approval.

Basic Life Support CPR & First Aid
The Basic Life Support: CPR and First Aid course is designed to teach the knowledge and skills needed to provide basic life support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to adult with life-threatening injuries, while also activating emergency medical services (EMS). The first-aid section teaches participants how to recognize medical emergencies and traumatic injuries and to provide care while waiting for EMS to arrive.
